Mamon Recipe

 Mamon Recipe







Ingredients

1/4 cup salted butter, melted
1 cup cake flour or All purpose Flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder1/3 cup 6eggs, yolk and whites separated1/4 cup water1/2 cup of white sugar1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar1/2 cup grated eden cheese or cheddar cheese






Instructions

Preheat the oven for 325 degrees F
1. Brush your Mamon molds with butter and set aside. 
2. Sift cake flour, baking powder, and 1/3 cup sugar together into a bowl and set aside. 
3. Combine egg yolks, water, and butter in the bowl of a standard mixer fitted with the paddle attachment. Mix at low speed until well blended. 
4. With the mixer running, slowly add the dry ingredients and continue mixing until  its well blended. 
5. Scrape down the sides and bottom of the bowl with a spatula.
6. Combine egg whites and cream of tartar in the bowl of a standard mixer fitted with the whisk attachment. Beat at high speed until egg whites double in volume. With the mixer running, slowly and steadily add 1/2 cup sugar. Continue beating until medium peaks form. 
7. Gently and swiftly fold in the egg yolk mixture into the egg whites. Divide the batter evenly among the Mamon molds. Bake for 15 to 20 min or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Place the molds on a cooling rack for ten minutes. 
8. Remove from the molds and allow cakes to cool completely on the rack. 
9. Brush cakes with butter and sprinkle with sugar and grated eden cheese.

How to make Pandesal



Ingredients
  • 4 cups of bread flour plus 
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 egg,beaten (room temperature)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 pack rapid rise yeast 
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • 1cup milk (fresh
  • 1/4 cup cooking oil
  • 1 tablespoon oil to grease the dough bowl
  • 1/2 bread crumbs for coating


Instructions
  1. Place the flour and yeast , in a large mixing bowl mix and make a well in the middle. Set aside. In a separate bowl, mix water, oil,sugar,salt and milk until the sugar dissolves and heat it for to warm temperature.
  2. Pour mixture into the middle of the flour and mix twice then add the egg.Continue mixing until you will get a soft, and reach fluffy dough mixture.
  3.  When the dough is ready, coat your hands with flour so that the dough will not stick onto your hand and form it into the ball and transfer the dough into a greased bowl. Let the dough sit in the warm place for an hour or an hour and half.
  4. After an hour, transfer the dough in a gently floured surface and directly gently form it into rectangle 4 " in width and 20 " in length and then fold to form a log. Cut the dough into pieces in a slanting form,shape them and roll them in a breadcrumbs.
  5. Arrange the dough 1' between them. Sprinkle the dough with more crumbs and let it rest in a warm place for another hour.
  6. When ready, Preheat oven at 350 F and bake the pandesal for 25 to 30 min or when it is lightly brown on top.

Japanese Siomai



Japanese Siomai Recipe




Ingredients


2lbs of ground pork
1 1/2 cups minced carrots
2 tsp of sesami oil
1/2 tsp of garlic powder
Salt and Pepper to taste
Nori Seaweeds
Crabs Sticks


Siomai Sauce

Kalamansi /Lime
diced pepper
diced garlic
soy sauce


Instructions 

1.Mixed all the raw ingredients in a bowl
2.Once your done mixing all the ingredients prepare a flat surface to put the nori for wrapping. for the wrapping cut the nori into squares.
3. Brush the  Nori Seaweeds with water before wrapping it.
4.Wrap the mixed ingredients using the nori seaweeds and add a little piece of crabsticks in the center top of the the siomai.
5.Using a steamer, Steam the japanese siomai for about 45 to 60 minutes.  It depends how large it it.
Serve it with Siomai Sauce.


For the sauce all you need to do is :


1.Chop some pepper and minced it
2. Again chop a garlic and minced it
3. Heat some small pan add a little bit oil
4. Cook the pepper and garlic until the garlic turned a little brown , 
5. After that put them on a bowl separate the oil and put the garlic and pepper in a bowl and add some soy sauce and Calamansi or Lime. 
6. Mixed them all together and Serve!
